Robert A. Edwards
Rob Edwards serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer. Edwards is responsible for oversight of the credit culture, delivering solid credit performance and all facets of its enterprise risk management for United Community.
Edwards has more than twenty-five years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining United, he served as executive credit officer over Credit Policy and Risk Reporting and Analytics at TD Bank N.A. He also served as the Chief Credit Officer at The South Financial Group (TSFG).
Edwards earned his bachelor’s from Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Massachusetts and a Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. Edwards lives with his wife in Simpsonville, South Carolina.
