Melinda Davis Lux
Melinda Davis Lux serves as an Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, and General Counsel for United Community Bank. Davis Lux oversees the legal, operations, and IT functions and is responsible for significant transactional, regulatory, and strategic matters.
Davis Lux served as an M&A and corporate partner in law firm private practice for over 20 years before joining the bank. Prior to her role at United Community, she was a partner at Womble Bond Dickinson in Greenville, S.C., where she also served as a Global Board Member of Womble Bond Dickinson International, and a corporate partner at Wyche, P.A. Earlier in her career, Davis Lux served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Alexander B. Denson of the U.S. District Court in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Davis Lux holds a Master of Laws in Taxation from the New York University School of Law, a Juris Doctor degree from Yale Law School, an MBA from Clemson University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College.
Davis Lux serves on the Board of Directors of Build Carolina, a non-profit organization devoted to building the tech talent infrastructure in South Carolina, and previously served on the Boards of Directors of Upstate International and World Affairs Council, the Greenville Symphony, the Greenville Small Business Development Corporation, and Greenville County First Steps. She is a graduate of both Leadership Greenville and Leadership South Carolina and a Liberty Fellow.
