C.B. Fair Joins United Community Bank as Executive VP - Atlanta Region
MARIETTA, GA, Feb 11, 2009 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) -- Glenn White, President of United Community Bank - Atlanta Region, is pleased to announce that C.B. Fair III has joined the bank as Executive Vice-President - Atlanta Region. In this role, Fair will work with the Atlanta Region leadership team to strategically expand United Community Bank's (NASDAQ: UCBI) presence in this critical market.

Fair joins the company after a 37-year banking career with Regions Financial Corporation in the Atlanta and North Georgia markets. Prior to joining UCBI, Fair served as Group President of Regions Financial Corporation - North Georgia Group. He also has held positions as: Group President, President/CEO, President, Executive Vice President and Vice President of the Regions Financial Corporation's West Georgia Group.
Fair holds a BBA/Finance degree from University of Georgia. He also is a graduate of the Michigan School of Managers, Stonier Graduate School of Banking, National Graduate School of Commercial Lending and School of Banking of the South at LSU.
In addition to his distinguished banking career, Fair also has held posts with organizations as varied as the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce and State YMCA. He also has been Chairman of the Paulding County Industrial Building Authority, Chairman of the Paulding County Airport Authority, Chairman of Paulding County United Way and Director of the Georgia Bankers Association.
